With Unalaska's Election Day fast approaching, KUCB is seeking voter questions for the 2019 Candidates Forum.

Mayor and City Council candidates will share their platforms and answer questions Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

The forum will broadcast live from the Burma Road Chapel on 89.7 FM and Channel 8 TV. Unalaskans can submit their questions by attending in person, calling 581-1888, or emailing candidates@kucb.org.

Unalaskans have until Sunday, Sept. 1 to register to vote in the city's fall election.

The ballot features two contested races: one for the mayor's office, between Dennis Robinson and Vince Tutiakoff Sr., and another for school board seat D, between Josh Good and incumbent Denise Rankin.

Early and absentee voting starts Wednesday, Feb. 14 for Unalaska’s mayoral recall election.

Registered voters can cast their ballots at City Hall until March 5. The polls will be open week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Unalaskans can also request to vote by mail, email, fax, or personal representative.

They can call the city clerk’s office at 581-1251 for more information.

Election Day is for March 6.

The registration deadline is fast approaching for those planning to vote in the mayoral recall election.

Unalaska residents have until Monday, Feb. 5 to register, if they haven't done so already or if they want to update their information.

Unalaskans can check their registration status here, and if necessary, they can register to vote at City Hall or the library.
