With Unalaska's Election Day fast approaching, KUCB is seeking voter questions for the 2019 Candidates Forum.
Mayor and City Council candidates will share their platforms and answer questions Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
The forum will broadcast live from the Burma Road Chapel on 89.7 FM and Channel 8 TV. Unalaskans can submit their questions by attending in person, calling 581-1888, or emailing candidates@kucb.org.
School board candidates already shared their platforms earlier this month.
The Oct. 1 ballot features two contested races: one for the mayor's office (City Council seat A), between Dennis Robinson and Vince Tutiakoff Senior; another for school board seat D, between Josh Good and incumbent Denise Rankin.
Meanwhile, three candidates are running unopposed in the remaining races: Darin Nicholson for City Council seat C, incumbent Dave Gregory for City Council seat D, and Bob Cummings for school board seat C.
For Unalaskans who will be out of town on Election Day, absentee voting started Sept. 11 at City Hall. They can also request to vote by mail, email, or fax by calling the city clerk's office at 581-1251.
