Election officials determined all final results Friday morning after canvassing 37 absentee and questioned ballots at City Hall. Unalaska City Council will be asked to certify the results at their next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The final results are in, and they confirm all preliminary results from Unalaska's Municipal Election.

Ballot Question 1 and Ballot Question 2 — which would have placed new limits on the city’s power to issue mandates during a declared epidemic — both failed to receive enough votes to flip Tuesday night’s results.

Ballot Question 3, which proposed raising the city’s sales tax, also failed.

All Election Night results for City Council and school board races were definitive.

Election officials determined all final results Friday morning after canvassing 37 absentee and questioned ballots at City Hall. 510 ballots were counted in total, after eight were ruled unqualified due to a lack of voter registration, a registration outside of Unalaska, or not indicating U.S. citizenship.

Unalaska City Council will be asked to certify the results at their next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
