For the first time in two decades, Unangam Tunuu is being taught at the University of Alaska; state Senators recently introduced a bill to ban imports of Russian seafood; and the U.S. Supreme Court announced Monday it will hear several cases challenging the constitutionality of the Indian Child Welfare Act.

Born in rural Northern California, Hope started as a reporter and producer at KZYX in Mendocino County. She then worked at Kichwa Hatari — the first Quechua language radio station in the U.S., based in New York — and KQED in San Francisco.
