June McGlashan and Lydia Dirks are a mother-daughter duo from Unalaska currently working to publish a collaborative collection of land-based poetry.

In this episode of Island Interviews for National Poetry Month, the two Unangax̂ artists share their creative inspirations and reflect on what it’s been like to collaborate on a book together. They also read selections from poems that will be featured in the collection.
