I am James Fitch and I am running for Unalaska City Council. I am married to Angela and have 3 adult children, Sina, Emmett and Olga. I came to Unalaska to work in the seafood industry and ended up working in the City Power Plant for 27 years, 17 as the supervisor. I am semi-retired.

I am running for office because I feel it is my civic duty to do so now that I have retired and my young ones have gone. There are many challenges that face our community, most of which we all know about. Land fill space, utility rates, recycling, paving, port expansion, education, housing, air fare, employee retention, etc. just to mention a few. I would be honored to have the opportunity to assist addressing all the issues that are pertinent to the Community.

There are 7 people running for 3 council positions and all of them have the best interest of our community at heart. Please support their efforts by voting on October 3, 2017.

Thank You
