Unalaska students returned to their classrooms Monday for the first time in over a month; the State of Alaska is breaking from federal guidance by focusing its next round of COVID-19 vaccine on elders age 65 and over; and last week, anyone in the United States or Canada who pulled up a Google search would see the homepage logo replaced with an illustration of Elizabeth Peratrovich, an Alaska Native civil rights activist.

Born in rural Northern California, Hope started as a reporter and producer at KZYX in Mendocino County. She then worked at Kichwa Hatari — the first Quechua language radio station in the U.S., based in New York — and KQED in San Francisco.
