Two people have had an innovative idea to address the travel concerns of Unalaskans and industry workers: a flight co-op to protect travelers flying between Anchorage and Unalaska; ProPublica is partnering with KUCB to boost investigative reporting in the Aleutians; and today is the deadline to file for open positions on the School Board and City Council. 

Born in rural Northern California, Hope started as a reporter and producer at KZYX in Mendocino County. She then worked at Kichwa Hatari — the first Quechua language radio station in the U.S., based in New York — and KQED in San Francisco.
