City officials reported a new positive case of COVID-19 in Unalaska Friday, bringing the positive local case count to 98; at a City Council meeting last week, applicants who were denied by the City of Unalaska for CARES Act funding were invited to appeal the city's decisions; and over the weekend, the Qawalangin Tribe helped paint obstacles and activities at the Eagle's View Elementary Achigaalux playground to help students maintain social distancing while outside.

Born in rural Northern California, Hope started as a reporter and producer at KZYX in Mendocino County. She then worked at Kichwa Hatari — the first Quechua language radio station in the U.S., based in New York — and KQED in San Francisco.
