The Unalaska Parks, Culture and Recreation teamed up with the Ballyhoo Lions Club for a fantastic Saturday filled with Easter cheer starting at 8am.
The Lions Club started the day off with a delicious pancake and egg breakfast as well as a “split the pot” raffle and face painting for the young ones.
The UCSD Business Professionals of America offered to help with set-up, cooking and cleaning for the event, and Lions Club President John Conwell was grateful for all of their help.
Conwell was unsure how many attended the breakfast but said the turnout was terrific.
In the large gym, the PCR hosted a fun-filled play-land complete with a bounce house, a large chess game and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Around 12:45pm, participants headed out to Tutiakoff Field in anticipation for the great Easter Egg Hunt of 2018. At the strike of 1pm, a siren sounded alerting the hunters they were free to grab as many bright plastic eggs as they’re bags could carry!
The Ballyhoo Lions Club will use funds for various projects including scholarship awards, installing benches and garbage cans around town, constructing and maintaining school bus shelters, Operation Santa, and general assistance to people in need. They would like to thank the following sponsors:
