US Interior Secretary Deb Haaland is coming to Alaska this week. She’ll be making several stops on her trip, including a visit to King Cove, weather permitting; An Alaska Native Studies researcher is working to end extractive research; and Alaska Airlines announced Monday it is ending its mask requirement.
Hailing from Southwest Washington, Maggie moved to Unalaska in 2019. She's dabbled in independent print journalism in Oregon and completed her Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University — where she also taught Rhetoric and Composition courses.
