The Qawalangin Tribe held its annual Tribal Council election Saturday; a University of Alaska Fairbanks scientist contributed to a study that looked at the demise of a Middle Eastern city 6,000 years ago; and Unalaska’s Visitors Bureau held its first Trunk or Treat event Sunday.
Hailing from Southwest Washington, Maggie moved to Unalaska in 2019. She's dabbled in independent print journalism in Oregon and completed her Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University — where she also taught Rhetoric and Composition courses.
