“From the Philippines to the U.S.” is a story about the childhood of my mother, Alma Sefuentes, childhood, who has a special personality that brings her motivation throughout her difficult life as a child. Through several interviews, I asked her about her life in the Philippines and how she was able to adapt to living in Hawaii in the United States, with the support and help of her family. Today, she lives in Unalaska, Alaska with her husband and three kids, in a place she calls home.
Focus is a short radio module of audio interviews and stories by UCS students. This plays on KUCB 89.7 FM on Thursdays at 11 am and 4 pm and Saturdays at 5 pm.
