Thursday night, the Raider boys basketball team played the Nome Nanooks in Nome. The Raiders played hard, dominating for most of the game and getting a final score of 50 points against the Nanooks' 23. Tanner Leggett made 18 points and Trevor Wilson made 14, making them the game's top scorers.
The Raider girls also played hard against Lumen Christi on Wednesday and Ninilchik on Thursday, but lost both games.
Senator Lisa Murkowski attended the boys' game against the Nanooks during her most recent visit to Nome, as a way to learn more about the area.
The Raider boys will play again today at 2 PM, when they take on Kotzebue and tomorrow at 2:30 against Bethel. The girls are scheduled to play today at 3:30 PM against Susitna Valley, and tomorrow at 10 AM against Birchwood Christian.
