The remains of an Alaska Native student buried more than 100 years ago at the Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Pennsylvania will return to Alaska; a group of Alaska medical professionals recently gathered in Anchorage to attend the first session of a uniquely rural medical training; and a new smartphone app will allow users along Alaska's entire coastline to contribute observations about changes in fish and animal populations.

Hailing from Southwest Washington, Maggie moved to Unalaska in 2019. She's dabbled in independent print journalism in Oregon and completed her Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University — where she also taught Rhetoric and Composition courses.
