St. Paul's Tribal Government received a federal grant of more than $250,000 yesterday to boost local science, technology, engineering, and math talent; Joe Biden will impose a temporary moratorium on all oil and natural gas leasing activities in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge; and the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward is partnering with an oil spill response organization to rehabilitate oiled marine mammals in Western Alaska.

Hailing from Southwest Washington, Maggie moved to Unalaska in 2019. She's dabbled in independent print journalism in Oregon and completed her Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University — where she also taught Rhetoric and Composition courses.
