Originally from San Diego, heavy metal music opened so many doors, even helping me learn English as a teenager. I was chosen to go to very prestigious schools, but did not know a word of English. My mother bought me the Guns N' Roses album Appetite for Destruction to practice my vocabulary through lyrics (the rest is history).
