Unalaska's finance director resigned Monday, marking the second resignation of a city department director in four days.
Clay Darnell's last day on the job will be March 1.
In an email to KUCB on Monday afternoon, he said he was "leaving to pursue other opportunities" and declined to answer further questions at that time.
Darnell has led the finance department since October of 2017, when he was hired to replace Nerahoo Hemraj, who held the position for less than a year.
The city's staff directory lists seven director positions. In addition to Darnell, Acting Police Chief Jennifer Shockley resigned Friday.
