A West African gray parrot is back with its owner after being stolen 3 years ago

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Michel Martin. A West African grey parrot is back with its owner after being stolen three years ago in France. Recently, someone in Marseille tried to sell the parrot, but the species is protected, and the sale was blocked. The bird also wouldn't stop squawking its name, Jako. It's how police who stopped the sale remembered a colleague who had lost a parrot with the same name three years ago. Sure enough, it was the same bird. It's MORNING EDITION.
