LIVING THROUGH THE RIOTS: Another installment in Julian Crandall Hollick's "Apna Street" series begins in January 1993. The destruction of a mosque in northern India caused riots to flare between Hindus and Muslims. The riots eventually spread to Bombay, where the homeless pavement dwellers of Apna Street, India's poorest people, were particularly vulnerable. How they cope with the terror around them is the focus of this episode.
