Officials are investigating a fire that broke out in False Pass over the weekend near a local fish processing plant.
The blaze began on Sunday around 4 a.m. in the machine shop of Bering Pacific Seafoods. That's according to a press release from the Aleutian Pribilof Island Community Development Association, which owns and operates the company.
The processing plant wasn't damaged after the False Pass volunteer fire department contained the blaze to a standalone warehouse used for storage and maintenance.
There were also no injuries.
Now, the City of False Pass is investigating the cause of the fire. There is no report yet on the cost of damage to the warehouse.
