Unalaskans could have access to high speed internet service by late 2022, if GCI completes work to lay a fiber cable as planned; the state of Alaska will allow visitors to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the state's airports; and a state historical commission took up the task of naming and renaming some landmarks in Alaska, and Indigenous language played a part in four of the proposed names.
