In Memoriam: George Juelch

It is with deepest sympathy that I announce the death of Sergeant Major George D. Juelch JR., age 54 on 21 February 2020 in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Laurie; mother, Karen; brothers, Charles and Christopher; sister; Kathy; and grandmother, Ruby.

Alexis Jade's Story

Her journey began Dec. 20, 2001 in Vallejo, California. She was a devoted daughter to Albert and Juvy and a loving sister to Alec, Austin, Sugar, Ice, and Khaleesi.

Alexis had a kind heart and was welcoming to every person she encountered. She had a passion for helping others and spent much of her time volunteering for different organizations. 

Alexis loved playing volleyball and basketball. Throughout her high school career, she received awards and recognition for her talents. She was intelligent, a member of the honor roll and an inductee of the National Honor Society. 

In Memoriam: Irene 'Honey' McGlashan

Irene ‘Honey’ Marie McGlashan passed away peacefully on January 9, 2020 with family by her side.  She was born to the late Stepon and Marie Bear on April 27, 1943 in Belkofsky, Alaska. 

During her life, she worked as a cook, a paralegal, and for 21 years before retirement as a community health aide.  She raised her five children in Akutan, Port Lions, and in Unalaska for the last 45 years.

David Allan Oltman died unexpectedly in Dutch Harbor, Alaska on Oct. 17 at the age of 38.

David is survived by his parents, Leo and Diana Oltman of Ellensburg, WA; wife, Erin, and their children, Reece and Evan of Wenatchee, WA; siblings, Scott Oltman of Ellensburg, WA and Leanne Semprimoznik of Spokane, WA.

David was born July 14, 1981 in Yakima, WA. He graduated from Ellensburg High School in 2000, and later received a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Retail Management at Central Washington University.
