The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held a class Wednesday to teach Unalaskans how to respond when encountering undetonated explosives; in the special election to fill the remainder of the late Congressman Don Young’s term, rural Alaska communities had more ballots rejected than anywhere else in the state; and the City of Unalaska is holding a household hazardous waste clean up event over the July 4th weekend.
