A 2-year-old allegedly killed by his foster parents was laid to rest on St. Paul Island this weekend; NOAA is developing new research technology to better understand the changing ecosystems of the Bering Sea; and the federal government is suing the state of Alaska over its management of king and chum salmon fishing on the Kuskokwim River, in the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge.

Hailing from Southwest Washington, Maggie moved to Unalaska in 2019. She's dabbled in independent print journalism in Oregon and completed her Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University — where she also taught Rhetoric and Composition courses.
