First Filipino Story Time connects community and culture

Filipino Story Time is scheduled at the Unalaska Library once a month.

The Unalaska Public Library recently held its inaugural Filipino Story Time. The reading program aims to encourage early literacy for children.

In this episode of “Island Interviews,” Russel Laforteza, who leads the reading program, explains how the new story time could help Filipino children on the island gain a deeper connection with their cultural heritage.
