The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a sick fisherman Friday from a vessel in the Bering Sea.
The F/V Kodiak Enterprise was fishing 40 miles north of Cold Bay when the crew requested a medevac for the 55-year-old man.
He was suffering from an “abdominal medical condition,” according to a statement from the Coast Guard.
Air Station Kodiak sent an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to rescue the fisherman and take him to Cold Bay, where he was transported to Anchorage for further care.
