If you've been to the high school since last Tuesday, you might have noticed that the UCSD Kaleidoscope Art Show has adorned the hallways providing all passersby a feast for the eyes. Art teacher Finn Palmer curated the show which included 90 pieces of artwork from students in fifth through twelve grade.
Tuesday evening, members from the Aleutian Arts Council stopped by to judge the works and promptly headed to the auditorium to announce the winners, as seen below:
5th Grade 1st Place: Angelina Semon for "Untitled"
6th Grade 1st Place: Shanelle Palma for "The Waking Sunflower"
Jr. High 1st Place: Leah Bacalso for "Pointy Nose"
Beginning HS Art 1st Place: Liam Andersen for "Jason Brody"
Advanced I 1st Place: John Garduque for "Is Your Name Hoover?"
Advanced II 1st Place: Isaac Guge for "Grey Squirrel"
Best in Show: Isaac Guge for "Grey Squirrel"
