UCSD Student of the Week: Ciera Ruckman

UCSD

The High School Department selected Ciera Ruckman as  Student of the Week (April 11-15, 2016)   for the following reasons:

Ciera Ruckman is an outstanding student in my Spanish 1 class. She is not afraid to seek help when needed or assist fellow students. She sets goals and drives herself until the standards are met. Her assignments are always of very high quality. Ciera is always cheerful and respects her peers and adults alike. Way to go Ciera!  ~Mrs. Roraback, Spanish Teacher

Over the two years that I have been fortunate enough to have had   Ciera as a student in my English classes, I have noticed that she is an excellent listener, a mature and self-directed learner, and an extremely positive person—qualities which contribute immensely to our class readings and discussion, and which, not coincidentally, make teaching at Unalaska City School so enjoyable.  ~Ms. Rudio, English  Teacher

Ciera Ruckman is an outstanding student in Marine Biology and an academic role model for the entire student body. She is meticulous about the completion of her work and preparation for class activities and assessments. Her excellent attendance is also an indication of her dedication and commitment to her education.  ~ Mr. Gregory, Science Teacher

Ciera is the daughter of Dale & Jane Ruckman.
