WHAT IS THE ART HUNT? - The Great Unalaska Art Hunt is a two-month long scavenger hunt activity. The hunt is designed for people of all age groups, and can be played individually or in teams. It encourages people in the community to get involved with art. Players will need to identify great works of art in the community, interact with artists, and contribute to the local art experience with their own creative works.
People will need to register as Players. Go to the Aleutian Arts Council Facebook site and follow the instructions for the Art Hunt. You can also register by contacting the Puzzle Masters as Unalaskapuzzlemasters@Yahoo.com
During the hunt you will need to follow a series of instructions, answer questions about art and find clues. You will visit art sites in the community, complete creative works, and regularly present your findings to the Puzzle Masters. There will also be helpful Art Mentors to give you useful advice and hints.
The contest will include multiple levels of prizes, including free give-away items for all participants. You will be entered into a drawing for the three grand prizes each time you complete a task and report back to the Puzzle Masters. There will be special prizes for all participants who earn the tile of Art Aficionado by correctly completing all tasks for Levels II, III, and IV.
