The Raider boys pulled off a third consecutive win starting off a promising season today when they played the Kotzebue Huskies. Raiders held a strong lead throughout the first half, and at as half time approached had a leading score of 29-20.
Reaching the end of third quarter, the pressure went up for the Raider boys with the Hu?skies gradually closing the gap. With 3.5 seconds left on the clock, a Kotzebue Husky made a two pointer ending the third quarter with 41-35, Raiders still in the lead.
In the end, Raiders came out victorious with a winning score of
51-42. Leading scorers of the game were Ben Enlow with 17 points and Trevor Wilson with 15 points. Announcers at the game thanked Principle Mr. Jim Wilson and Superintendent Mr. John Conwell for sending the Raider boys to play at the Subway Showdown in Nome.
The Unalaska Raider boys will play again tomorrow at 2:30 PM against the Bethel Warriors.
