The City of Unalaska is putting on a fireworks tonight, Dec. 31, starting at 11:59 p.m. The pyrotechnics will be launched from an area on Summer Bay Road, near the Unalaska Memorial Park. Good viewing spots will be anywhere along Front Beach and Bayview Road.
The weather forecast tonight, according to the National Weather Service, calls for partly cloudy skies until midnight, then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow. Lows are expected in the mid-30s, and we can expect a 10-to-25 mph variable wind.
