UCSD Student of the Week: Kaye Gumera

UCSD

The Principal’s pick this week for Student of the week (May 2-6, 2016) is Kaye Gumera for the following reasons:

Kaye Gumera is a very disciplined athlete who is a good role model for her peers, through her hard work and dedication for NYO Kaye was awarded athlete of the year. Kaye has a strong competitive nature and love of competition for all sports she is involved in. Way to go Kaye, keep up the good work and we are proud of you.  ~ Genee, NYO Coach

Kaye is an outstanding student who is continually recognized for her outstanding efforts in the classroom. In addition, she has recently been recognized as honor band for the regional band competition, as a state poetry out loud finalist, and as the female athlete of the year at the NYO games. She is an outstanding example to our younger students that one can excel in academics and athletics at both the local and statewide level. These accomplishments, combined with her continual positive attitude and overall support of the entire student body make her an ideal choice to be recognized as the student of the week. Thank you for your contribu-tions to a positive school climate and keep up the good work.  ~Mr. Wilson, Principal

Kaye is one of the most enthusiastic and energetic students I have ever worked with. She uses her energy and optimism to achieve outstanding academic success in class and effective relationships with team mates and friends in extracurricular activities and everyday situations. Kaye is a natural leader who also has the humility and respect to assume any role in a group or organization. Her tenacity and ambition allow Kaye to achieve phenomenal individual accomplishments as well.  ~Mr. Gregory, Science Teacher

Kaye is the daughter of Joel and Amorfe Gumera.
