UCSD Student of the Week: James Vuong

UCSD

The Junior High Department selected James Vuong as Student of the Week (April 15-22, 2016) for the following reasons:

Jimmy is an outstanding young man, who is always willing to work hard and do whatever is asked of him. He regularly comes into class with a smile on his face and is eager and excited to learn. He is one of the first students to chime in during discussions with meaningful questions and understanding of concepts. Keep working hard Jimmy and all of your great habits will pay off next year in high school  ~Mr. Gibson, Science Teacher

James is a very spirited, optimistic, hard-working young man who has come incredibly far as a junior high student. Once a reticent reader, he now embraces challenging literature, excited and inquisi-tive about the language and ideas, which is apparent in both writing and conversation. He has also emerged as a creative writer, with a lively voice and original ideas. James is a classic example of how hard-working, curious students develop not just intellectually, but in character as well. Keep on rolling, James! ~Ms. Purevsuren, English Teacher

James is the son of Denny & Tuyet Nguyen.
