KUCB's One Day Pledge Drive is Coming Soon

Chrissy Roes

Attention Radio Listeners! It's time to open your wallets and support KUCB Radio during our annual pledge drive.

As you know, KUCB has lost significant funding from the State of Alaska this year, and that means we need local support more than ever.  We also spent our limited funds replacing the 91.1 transmitter in August, and we're hoping that those of you who love local KSKA service will give a little extra this year.  Broadcast of KSKA FM 91.1 here in Unalaska is a popular second service that we provide.

Our One Day Pledge Drive will take place on Friday, October 14 from 12 AM – 11:59 PM.  This year, we're hoping to raise $20,000 and 300 members. We invite you to renew your commitment to public media and make your contribution today.  As always, a pledge of any amount makes you a member of KUCB.  This year we are offering several membership incentives:

  • Hats by Big Dipper Clothing for contributions of any size (stock is limited, so give early).
  • For every $25 you donate, you get one entry into a drawing for a round-trip system-wide plane ticket generously donated by Alaska Airlines.
  • A pledge of $125 or more gets you a limited-edition 2016 KUCB zip-up hoodie featuring our classic boat and bridge logo (supplies are limited, so give early).

Unalaska is an expensive place to live and we know that it's hard to give a substantial donation, even to a non-profit that you love.  We are happy to work with you on a payment plan that spreads your charitable contribution out to monthly or quarterly payments.   You can pledge early right here at KUCB.org.  On the day of the drive, call 581-1888, or stop by the station.

Thank you for your support of community radio!
