A car accident Tuesday morning briefly closed East Broadway Ave. and left two Unalaska teenagers with "non-life-threatening injuries."
Acting Police Chief Jennifer Shockley said icy road conditions were a factor in the one-car wreck near the city's Department of Public Works.
Driving speed may have been a factor as well, though Shockley declined to specify how fast the car was moving because police are still investigating.
She said one teen was driving while the other rode as passenger.
The Department of Public Safety is now reminding Unalaskans to drive cautiously, especially as winter weather brings more challenging road conditions.
